Look online and it’s a minefield – there’s lots of use of phrases such as ‘natural materials’ and ‘high quality wood’, but very little information on where the wood has actually come from or how the design has been made. There’s hundreds of wooden chairs out there, but only a handful that tick all the boxes. You’d think that would be simple enough, but I’ve discovered it’s surprisingly hard to find a beautifully designed wooden chair that is well made, sustainably produced AND won’t break the bank.
